Dear Friends,

I would like to invite you to attend a panel that I have been asked to be part of this Thursday, 12/17/20 at 4PM MST. Works from my Tucson Black Voices Series have been selected to be part of the University of Arizona Museum of Art online exhibit, “Picturing 2020: A Community Reflects.”  Each of us three panelists will give a 10 minute presentation followed by Q&A. I plan to do a slideshow cross-sampling of my three social change portrait series that were initiated throughout and because of the pandemic.

If you are interested, the link to RSVP is:  https://artmuseum.arizona.edu/events/event/art-activism-radical-acts-self-care

Warmly,Kathleen

My appearance takes after my dad, but my culture and upbringing are definitely that of my mom. This has always caused an internal struggle, or identity crisis. I have always been too white for Mexicans and too Mexican for white people.
